About Our Company
Our business first started in Oregon City as a tractor dealer way back in 1939 under the Name Landeen Tractor. In 1962, Landeen decided the future for the business would be welding supplies. The business then changed to Landeen Welding Supplies, and has grown since that time. In 1998, Landeen sold to Air Liquide America Corp., a nationwide company. Air Liquide ran the business for approximately 4 years, then decided to sell all of the retail welding supply stores.
In February 2002, Maverick Welding Supplies took the business under the guidance of David Carley, who worked for Landeen Welding Supplies for over 20 years and was sales manager for the northwest for Air Liquide. David is no stranger to the welding industry; he has been successful in all aspects of the welding industry. Maverick has retained many employees that worked under Landeen. Our teamster drivers have over 20 years experience each, and many people from our sales, office, and service staff still remain from the Landeen days. So, if you know Landeen, you know Maverick.
Our business views are much the same as Landeen Welding. As Landeen did, Maverick takes pride in valuing the smaller customers, and being their supplier and growing with them. Our customer service is another area that Maverick Welding Supplies takes a great deal of pride in. We have a full-time service technician, who is Miller certified.
We are also the warranty repair station for Miller welding equipment. We feature top quality products, good selection and fast friendly service.
